Le Prince Jardinier Matches
Le Prince Jardinier is a chic French brand of garden products that I love, with a big shop in the Palais Royal in Paris and another mini one on rue du Bac (the downstairs of my favourite shop on the planet, La Maison Deyrolle, where you can buy everything from a butterfly on a pin to a stuffed polar bear).
These Prince Jardinier matches, available in both shops, were my Christmas gift of choice this year. They are so long and elegant, they make lighting a fire the hearth that much more romantic, plus you can chuck the match right in once the newspaper is aflame for extra kindling. Best of all, they come in this beautiful turquoise box with the prince's charming logo on it. Even if you don't have a fireplace, you will love these.
