Travels with Teabags
King Cole Tea is plain black tea with real taste, without being perfumed in any way. It's never watery or "wishy-washy", neither does it have too much edge. It comes in square gauze bags, like poultices, packed willy-nilly in white and orange cardboard boxes. (And, as far as I know, it is sold only at grocery stores in eastern Canada -- sorry!) For all people say about loose leaves being better and fancy brands being finer, King Cole Tea is, for me, the best everyday tea you can buy. I am so addicted to it that I travel with a stash of in my suitcase (the box in the photo is in France with me right now). The only trouble with travelling with my teabag stash is that, no matter where I go, I always run out because other people are constantly begging bags off me. Occasionally, I even get guilt-tripped into leaving behind my whole box! Then, (woe!) I have to spend the rest of my trip "making do" with coffee, and croaking for a decent cup of tea until I get home.
